Ezekiel 7:25, Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.

1Thessalonians 5:3, For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Jeremiah 6:14, They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of My people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

Jeremiah 8:11, For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of My people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

Daniel 8:25, And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

Philippians 1:21, For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Hmm...I think that when people go looking for peace in the wrong way, then they won't get it...especially if they use peace as an excuse to go to war for something else...

I couldn't agree more... there is only ONE WAY to get peace, and that is through Jesus Christ \o/

Hmmm...well Iraq believe that they are doing what God wants them to, and a lot of Americans believe that they (Bush) are doing what God wants them to do...But my question is: Who is doing the right thing by the other?

the will of God is not to destroy men but to save them... that is the problem with the flesh it wants to destroy what it doesn't understand, or what is different, or what stands in it's way of fulfillment, but the spirit is not like that, the spirit wants what is best for ALL MANKIND, not just the "special" ones.

the answer to your question is neither of them is doing the "right thing"

to be honest with you I think neither of the leaders care if they are doing what's "right for their country"... it is an old family feud that Bubba Bush has got to settle for Pa.... I am an american southerner and I know how those family feud things go... all the other stuff is just excuses.

In case you hav'nt noticed this is a forum, you know, a place where people speak their mind on various subjects, you have spoken yours.I dont beleive a school boy from Australia knows a whole lot about America or has a clue as to why it does this or that or what motivates its president or citizens.I would not assume as much about Australia and its people as you do about my country and its people,in other words i dont think you know what you're talking about and i am saying so,that's my.....problem.Whats your's ? does it irritate you to be called on what you say and the assumptions you make,if you ever hope to get your point of veiw across that could be a big problem for you.

I don't need to assume anything about America, because thats all i really hear about all the time...do you know what it's like to have the popular culture of another country shoved in your face? And on the news...most of the stuff i have to listen to is about America. But i wouldn't expect you to know anything about Australia...your obviously too rapped up in yourself and your country to care about anything or anyone else...

You dont know what its like to live in a country where everybody else in the world thinks they have a "right" to be there and its your duty to accomadate them.Where your taxes are used to support your enemies and those that hate you.Where your government takes money from you to make it easier for foreigners to live here.I am not defending American pop culture i dont have much to do with it myself but it is in high demand and it is being bought as much as its being sold.I, like so many other Americans want to stay out of others affairs and not get involved in messes like the current situation but our government spends too much time listening to everyone else in the world except the Amwerican people,we matter the least,we just pay the bills. We give up our sons and daughters in wars only to have the enemy as a next door neigbor after its over. The policy of destroy/rebuild is insane and no country has expeirenced its effects more than America.I wish America would bring every single service man and woman home and tell the rest of the world that from now on Americans will only die for America and American soil. This nation has proven that education and the rule of law and faith and dependence on God can build a great nation, not tribalism, ignorance, primitive superstition. These things bring povert, war and misery and yet so much of the world would rather wallow in these things and blame America for it or either crowd our shores and borders because they dont have the guts to do it in their own country. They would rather submit themselves to dictators than fight for what they want and scream if we do anything other than send them money or bring them here.

You seem to be changing your mind a bit...
You have to understand that Australia isn't too different to America...we are just a lot smaller and don't affect the rest of the world as much...But because America DOES affect the rest of the world, then they have the responsibility to do the right thing all the time...because if they help one country, then they should help all that need help...
I'm not sure if you knew this, but the Australian prime minister doesn't really seem to care about what the Australian people think about anything...he is more concerned with our relationship with America.
I'm sick of arguing with people, if we can't agree, then we can't agee, ok?
